| About Paola: |
Paola has been founded in 1962 by the grand master of
the hospitallers kniths of Malta, Antoine De Paule.
Although scientifically Paola has been inhabited for
at least 4500 years. This has been historically proven
by the existence of the hypogeum that is an underground
temple hew by human hands out of the rocks.
Paola had remained a small village until the 19th century,
when it grew rapidly as a residential district for workers
from the Grand Harbour dockyards. |
